Whetstone Healthcare Consulting originated in the Pacific Northwest by full-scope rural primary care doctors passionate about serving rural and underserved communities. With over a decade of practice in the clinic, hospital, emergency room, maternity ward, and surgery department, we grew frustrated with how technology had encroached on every aspect of the physician & patient encounter. We yearned to reclaim autonomy and authority over the healthcare technology we utilize and saw our colleagues felt the same. We started as a grassroots informatics company, providing elbow-support during Epic Go-Lives and have since grown to Epic EHR specialists, experts in clinic workflow and policies, and advisors to numerous healthcare startups. While we are passionate about improving patient care through that technology, our primary mission is to improve the lives of those that deliver that care. We strive to help healthcare administrators, physicians and advance care practitioners optimize their use of technology, deliver superior healthcare, and restore the meaning in their work.
